Important Shipping & Tariff Update
Dear US Customers,
We want to give you a heads-up on an important change that may affect your orders. The De Minimis exemption—which currently allows U.S. imports valued under $800 to skip customs duties and inspections—is reportedly ending on May 2nd.
We understand how frustrating this is. It’s another example of misguided policy, and yes, it’s incredibly disruptive to global commerce. But rest assured: HSP isn’t backing down.
We’re actively exploring workarounds to minimize the impact on you. This includes shipping through courier channels that bypass customs tax or adjusting declaration values to reduce duty fees. We’ll share more details as we get closer to the deadline—though let’s be honest, there’s always a chance this rule may be delayed or scrapped altogether (as it should be).
In the meantime:
If you’re in the U.S. and planning to place an order, we highly recommend doing so soon to avoid any potential shipping delays or unexpected fees. We’ll continue to roll out new SS25 pieces throughout the month—perfect time to stock up. We also suggest placing larger orders so we can prioritize them with the fastest shipping methods.
As for shipping:
Most of our orders are now being shipped via USPS International as a way to navigate the current tariff situation. Shipping through FedEx, DHL, or UPS may increase the risk of customs inspections or even seizure, so USPS offers a safer alternative at this time.
However, recent tariff-related developments have led to a backlog of shipments due to limited cargo flight availability, which has unfortunately caused some delays.
We are actively working to secure cargo space and ensure that all outgoing orders are placed on the next available flights. Once packages clear customs and arrive at our U.S. warehouse, tracking updates will be provided.
We sincerely apologize for the delay and truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Rest assured—your order is on its way, it just may take a little longer than usual to arrive.
Thank you as always for riding with us. We’ll get through this together.
